    The Benewake TF03-100 LiDAR is an industrial-grade, single-point long-range distance sensor designed for reliable outdoor distance measurement up to 100 meters. It features an adjustable 1Hz–1000Hz frame rate, IP67 aluminum-alloy housing, strong ambient-light immunity up to 100Klux, and configurable UART/CAN communication, making it suitable for industrial automation, vehicle safety, traffic monitoring, UAV landing assistance, and other demanding outdoor applications.

    The TF03-100 uses Pulse Time of Flight (PTOF) technology to calculate distance by measuring the time taken for a laser pulse to travel to a target and return to the sensor. Its narrow 905nm laser beam and 0.5° field of view provide focused single-point distance measurement.

    An integrated compensation algorithm helps the sensor maintain reliable operation in challenging outdoor environments, including strong sunlight, rain, fog, and snow. With configurable operating modes and communication parameters, the 100m LiDAR distance sensor can be adapted to different system requirements.

    How Does the Benewake TF03-100 Work?

    The TF03-100 is a single-point LiDAR distance sensor based on Pulse Time of Flight (PTOF) technology.

    The sensor emits a narrow laser pulse at a central wavelength of 905nm toward the target. Reflected laser energy is collected by the receiving optical system and focused onto an APD detector. The electronics calculate the time difference between the transmitted and received signals. Because the speed of light is known, the sensor can determine the distance between the LiDAR and the measured object.

    This measurement method allows the TF03-100 to provide rapid distance readings while maintaining stable performance in outdoor conditions.

    Outdoor 100m LiDAR Performance

    The TF03-100 is designed for applications where conventional short-range distance sensors may not provide sufficient range or outdoor performance.

    Its detection performance depends on target reflectivity and ambient light:
